Predictive Safety Meets Industry: Master’s Thesis in the Future of Occupational Safety (m/f/x)
Deine Zukunft
Predictive Safety Meets Industry. And You Help Shape It.
Do you want to do more than observe how occupational safety is evolving in industry? Do you want to actively contribute to shaping its future?
In this master's thesis, you will support the pilot implementation of an innovative, data-driven model for proactive occupational safety within the Wieland Group and evaluate its effectiveness from a scientific perspective. The central question is: How can severe, life-changing, or fatal workplace accidents be identified early and systematically prevented?
Working at the intersection of occupational safety, industrial processes, and data-driven decision-making, you will make a tangible contribution to advancing modern safety concepts in an international industrial environment.
Your Impact
- Hands-on Experience: You will support the pilot implementation of a predictive SIF management model designed to identify critical risk scenarios at an early stage. The focus is on SIFs (Serious Injuries and Fatalities) as well as PSIF events (Potential Serious Injuries and Fatalities) that, under slightly different circumstances, could have resulted in a severe or fatal accident.
- Analysis: You will develop a methodological approach to evaluate the effectiveness of the model and analyze leading indicators as well as control mechanisms.
- Innovation: You will investigate the application of AI-supported data integration and modern safety routines in an industrial context.
- Development: You will derive concrete recommendations for further development and scaling of the model.
- Impact: Your work will directly contribute to advancing proactive occupational safety practices in industry.
